Mixed media art is in full swing!

Things are buzzing here at Craftology as we prepare for the upcoming BYOB Mixed Media art classes. We offered this as a special with Living Social and got fabulous response. All three of the January classes are full and one of the February classes as well. If you want to tap into your artistic side, these classes are perfect. Come to Craftology to explore, play and make a mess if you want. We provide all the art materials you will need, like canvas, paint, paper, ephemera, beads, buttons, baubles, glitter, glue and a variety of two and three dimensional objects…

Zippered Hoodie

I taught this class during the summer to the teens and it was very popular. Since then, I have had quite a few adults request this class for themselves. Who doesn’t love their favorite hoodie? Use sweatshirt fleece or polar-type fleece for this project. You will learn to sew sleeves and install a zipper. Basic machine sewing skills are required. One class, maximum 8 students. A materials list will be sent at registration.

Beginning/Intermediate Knitting – Pt. 1

No matter if you are an absolute beginner or have some basic knitting skills, this class is for you if you want to take your knitting to the next level. Teacher, Lanie Jewell, will get you going down the road of knit and purl and take you beyond the place of just making flat pieces and scarves. Beginners will learn to knit, purl, cast on, bind off and increase and decrease, along with reading a pattern and learning how to fix your mistakes. Intermediate knitters will work along side the beginners to refresh their basic skills along with learning to…

Needle Felting for Fall

Learn to make needle felted figures and animals to decorate your nature table or for other seasonal decorations. You will learn to make a human figure and other fall decorative items. If there is time you will learn to make an animal with a metal interior so that it will bend. Some needle felting knowledge is helpful but not necessary. Ages 12 and up. Materials are included in the class fee.  

Quilts for Kids – FREE Charity Event

Join us as we assemble quilts for this great organization that provides comfort quilts to kids in long term hospital stays. You don’t have to be a quilter to participate. Basic machine sewing skills are desired. This is a great way to learn about quilting and contribute to the good works of this wonderful charity. Ages 12 and up are welcome.
